Prevention of infectious complications after operations on the chest and abdomen, pelvic organs, vascular, cardiovascular and orthopedic operations. In most cases, monotherapy with Euroxime is effective, but if necessary, the drug can be used in combination with aminoglycoside antibiotics or metronidazole (orally, in suppositories or by injection). In the case of existing or anticipated mixed aerobic and anaerobic infections (e.g. peritonitis, aspiration pneumonia, lung abscess, pelvic and brain) and the high incidence of such infections (e.g., surgery of the colon and gynaecological surgery) it is acceptable to use Proximo in combination with metronidazole. In the treatment of pneumonia and exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, Euroxime can be prescribed before oral administration of cefuroxime, when necessary.
