Levaxela Mode of application
Levaxel® tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with a sufficient amount of liquid. To adjust the dose, the tablets can be divided along the line. The tablets can be taken with or between meals. Levaxel® tablets should be taken at least 2:00 before or after taking antacids containing iron, zinc salts, magnesium or aluminum, or didanosine (this only applies to dosage forms of didanosine with aluminum or magnesium containing buffering agents) or sucralfate as indicated drugs can reduce the absorption of levofloxacin (see section “Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction”).
Levofloxacin is contraindicated in children (under the age of 18), since damage to the articular cartilage is possible.
