Pharmacological properties
Anticonvulsant and antiepileptic drug. The active component of the drug, pregabalin, inhibits the movement of calcium into neuronal cells in response to an action potential. The substance is characterized by a high degree of affinity for the alpha-2-delta protein found in the tissues of the central nervous system. The use of the drug leads to a decrease in the release of pain neurotransmitters into the synaptic cleft when neurons are excited. As a result of such changes under the action of the drug, impulse conduction is selectively suppressed. But only in pathological conditions Lirica has such an effect.
The Lirica 150 have analgesic properties for painful sensations of non-neuropathic and postoperative origin.
Does not provoke cancer.
The drug is well absorbed and begins to act within an hour after administration. The drug is best taken on an empty stomach, since plasma concentrations of the drug are significantly reduced when taken simultaneously with food.
