Coenzyme Q10 (the first component) is an essential element that takes part in the synthesis of adenosine triphosphate, which is the main energy source for the cells of the body. Coenzyme Q10 has a strong antioxidant effect.
Its highest content is observed in the heart muscle, which determines its main role in the body in the formation of energy in cardiomyocytes.
Hawthorn leaves are a source of flavonoids and terpenic acids, which enhance the contractile function of the myocardium, decrease its excitation, improve conductivity and coronary perfusion, and increase the resistance of the heart muscle to a lack of oxygen.
The use of hawthorn leaves in the treatment of chronic heart failure in the early stages has been proven in various experiments.
Scutellaria root extract is also rich in flavonoids, the main of which is baicalin. This substance is a very powerful antioxidant that suppresses the process of lipid peroxidation.
In addition, this extract has a hypotensive effect due to the sedative, vasodilating and antispasmodic effects of flavonoids.
