Reduces inflammation in the throat, helping to relieve dry coughs that irritate the mucous walls.
It works as a mucolytic, interfering with the work of the gel phase of mucus secretion by the respiratory tract, and breaks glycoprotein disulfide bridges. As a result, an excessively viscous secretion in the bronchi liquefies, which stimulates the excretion of sputum from the respiratory system.
