Nitrosorbid composition and form of release
Made in tablets. Each tablet contains 10 mg of isosorbide dinitrate.

Pharmacological properties

Nitrosorbid is used to prevent and treat angina attacks. In addition, it is also used in the complex therapy of chronic congestive heart failure.

Nitrosorbid is not indicated for patients with hypersensitivity to nitrate compounds. It is not prescribed for patients with acute vascular insufficiency, bleeding, hypovolemia, severe renal impairment, hepatic dysfunction, severe hypotension, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, pericardial tamponade, constrictive pericarditis and cardiogenic shock in cases where it is impossible to correct the pressure of the end diastolic ventricle with intra-aortic counterpulsation or drugs with a positive inotropic effect.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

When prescribing the drug to patients suffering from congestive heart failure, continuous monitoring of hemodynamics is required.
The minimum interval between doses of the drug is 4 hours.
When using Nitrosorbid in the treatment of patients with reduced renal function or severe liver dysfunction, it is recommended to adjust the dosage downward.

Taking high doses of the drug can cause in patients a significant decrease in blood pressure, weak pulse filling, pallor of the skin, increased sweating, reflex tachycardia, weakness, headache, dyspeptic disorders, seizures, orthostatic hypotension, visual disturbances.
To normalize the patient’s condition, it is necessary to urgently wash the stomach, lay the victim with a raised foot end, and ensure correct treatment. In severe cases, the administration of dopamine and sympathomimetics is indicated.
