Osteogenon composition
The active components of the drug are: 830 mg of ossein-hydroxyapatite compound (ossein 291 mg, including non-collagen peptides and proteins 75 mg, collagen proteins 216 mg, hydroxyapatite 444 mg, including calcium 178 mg and phosphorus 82 mg).
Additional components in the composition of the tablets are indicated: colloidal silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, potato starch, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, talc, yellow iron oxide.

Release form
The medicinal product is produced in the form of light yellow, biconvex, film-coated tablets, oblong in shape.

Pharmacological properties
The drug Osteogenon is used to normalize the exchange of calcium and phosphorus in the human body, mainly in bone tissue. Also, Osteogenon is a drug that is used not only for treatment, but also for prevention. The ossein-hydroxyapatite aggregate has an anabolic effect on bone metabolism that is greater than that observed with calcium alone.

Indications for use
The drug Osteogenon is used for treatment, as well as for prophylactic purposes, for calcium deficiency in the body, for osteoporosis, as an additional treatment for fractures to improve bone growth.

If the patient has an increased susceptibility to the constituent components that make up the drug, then taking the tablets is contraindicated. Children’s age, as well as hypercalcemia, hypermagnesemia, renal failure, urolithiasis, tissue calcification, is also a contraindication.

It is not used in pediatrics.

Application during pregnancy and lactation
You can use the drug during pregnancy and lactation, but you should still consult a doctor.

Method of administration and dosage
Tablets are used for adults and the elderly, 2-4 tablets twice a day. If the patient has severe osteoporosis, then the doctor may increase the dose. Reception should be carried out before meals or during meals, without chewing, drinking water. The duration of therapy is determined by the doctor.

An overdose of tablets causes the following symptoms: thirst, vomiting, constipation, nausea, loss of appetite, increased blood pressure, polyuria, polydipsia, nephrocalcinosis, dehydration, nephrolithiasis, mental disorders, bone pain, arrhythmia.
As a treatment for an overdose, the patient needs to stop taking the drug, consume a large amount of liquid.

Side effects
Adverse reactions when taking the drug can occur in the form of: nausea, constipation, abdominal pain, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria. Also, when using tablets, allergic reactions may occur, such as itching, skin rashes.

Storage conditions and periods
The drug should be stored in conditions so that the temperature is not higher than + 25 Celsius, the storage place should not be accessible to children, the packaging is original. The shelf life does not exceed 4 years.
