Composition and form of release
The active ingredient is rifinium bromide, additional components. It is produced in the form of a syrup, solution for parenteral administration, and also in tablets.
The drug Riabal is prescribed to relieve pain in the digestive tract caused by various reasons. In particular, the drug is effective in exacerbation of chronic and acute gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, enterocolitis, gastroenteritis, hypothermic disorders, pain caused by smooth muscle spasms and biliary dyskinesia, cholecystitis, increased intracranial pressure, inflammatory processes iron. Also prescribed to relieve pain caused by diseases of the genitourinary system – cystitis, urolithiasis, algomenorrhea.
Riabal is not toxic, and, as a result, this drug can be used for a long time, because it will not have a negative effect on the patient’s liver, kidneys and hematopoietic system.
Riabal is not prescribed for allergy to rifinium bromide. Riabal is also contraindicated if the patient is diagnosed with glaucoma, prostate adenoma, gallbladder and kidney stones (1 cm and more), urinary retention, intestinal atony, megacolon, gastrointestinal bleeding.
Also, Riabal cannot be used for diseases in which an increase in heart rate is contraindicated (from tachycardia to hyperthermia), mainly in diseases of the cardiovascular system. In addition, the drug Riabal should not be prescribed if the patient is diagnosed with reflux esophagitis, intestinal obstruction, thyrotoxicosis, with liver failure, rapid muscle fatigue, Down’s disease, inflammatory or infectious diseases of the lower respiratory tract.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
Can be used during pregnancy. It is undesirable to take during breastfeeding.
Method of administration and dosage
Riabal in syrup is taken by small patients, starting from 3 months of age, 2 mg per dose, up to 3 times a day. Children from 6 months up to a year old take 4 mg per dose, 2 years old – 10 mg, 6 years old – from 20 to 40 milligrams per dose.
Riabal in tablet form (for children 6-12 years old) is consumed at 20-30 mg per 1 dose, three times a day. Children over 12 and adults take 30-60 mg per dose, also three times a day. For an acute attack of pain, adults can take 90 mg at a time.
The duration of the course is 1-2 weeks.
Riabal injection solution is administered subcutaneously, intravenously and intramuscularly. 1-2 milliliters are injected at a time, with a maximum of 30 milligrams. For a maximum of 1 day, it is permissible to enter 90 milligrams. On average, up to 450 mg is administered per course, with a maximum of 900.
In case of exceeding a single dose by 10 times, a reaction of a disorder of the central nervous system occurs, symptoms – in the form of weakness, dizziness, tachycardia, hypotension, hallucinations. If the dose is exceeded by 100 times, paralysis of the muscles of the respiratory system occurs.
It is shown carrying out artificial ventilation of the lungs, proserin, physohistamine. In case of poisoning with oral forms – rinse the stomach, take enterosorbents.
Most often, the body reacts with an increase in heart rate, increased pressure, including intraocular pressure. Allergic reactions (urticaria, itching, Quincke’s edema), digestive disorders (nausea, vomiting), and urinary retention are also possible.
Storage conditions and periods
Riabal, depending on the form of production, is stored for 3 years (injection solution), and 5 years (tablet form) at temperatures from 15 to + 25 ° C.
