Rovamicin (spiramycin) coated tablets 1500000 IU №16

$36.00

Treatment of infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to spiramycin: Confirmed tonsilopharyngitis caused by beta-hemolytic group a streptococci (as an alternative to treatment with beta-lactam antibiotics, especially if they can not be used). Acute sinusitis (taking into account the microbiological characteristics of the infection, the use of macrolides is indicated when treatment with beta-lactam antibiotics is not possible). Superinfection in acute bronchitis. Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. Non-hospital pneumonia in patients who do not have risk factors, severe clinical symptoms, or clinical factors indicating the pneumococcal etiology of the disease. In case of suspected atypical pneumonia, the use of macrolides is advisable regardless of the severity of the disease and anamnesis. Skin infection with benign course: impetigo, impetiginized, ecthyma, infectious dermo-hypodermic (especially face), erythrasma. Infection of the oral cavity. Non-gonococcal genital infections. Chemoprophylaxis of relapses of acute rheumatic fever in patients who are allergic to beta-lactam antibiotics. Toxoplasmosis in pregnant women. Prevention of meningococcal meningitis in individuals who are contraindicated to use rifampicin: for the purpose of eradication of a micro-organism (Neisseria meningitidis) in the nasopharynx. spiramycin is indicated as a preventative treatment: for patients after treatment and before returning to public life; for patients who have had contact with a person with sputum discharge during the 10 days preceding his/her hospitalization. Spiramycin is not intended for the treatment of meningococcal meningitis. Official recommendations regarding the proper use of antibacterial agents should be followed.

Rovamicin Indications

It should be noted that Pseudomonas bacteria, enterobacteria, and methicillin-resistant staphylococci are insensitive to it. It is active against pneumonia caused by atypical microorganisms.
It is used to treat diseases of the skin (erysipelas, abscesses, phlegmon), venereal diseases (chlamydia, toxoplasmosis, syphilis, gonorrhea), as well as diseases caused by non-gonococcal infections, and which the genitourinary system is susceptible to.
