Acute or chronic recurrent inflammation of the paranasal sinuses (sinusitis): catarrhal or purulent sinusitis, frontitis, etmoiditis, sphenoiditis or combined sinusitis. In combination with antibiotics: acute purulent sinusitis, the course of which is accompanied by the phenomena of generalized infection or orbital complications. Acute exudative inflammation of the middle ear (otitis media) and chronic exudative otitis media (in the latter case, Sinuforte treatment can be performed after myringotomy). Acute and chronic rhinitis in the acute stage; allergic rhinitis, including polynosis. Post-operative rehabilitation after endoscopic surgery (ethmoidotomy, maxillary sinusitis, frontoethmoidogymorotomy).
Composition and form of release
The active ingredient is an extract and juice of European cyclamen. It comes to pharmacies in the form of a lyophilisate used to prepare a solution, which is injected into the nasal sinuses after preparation.
Anti-inflammatory drug. Prescribed for chronic and acute diseases of the nasal sinuses – purulent and catarrhal sinusitis, ethmoiditis, frontal sinusitis, sphenoiditis, and polysinusitis. It is also recommended in the combined rehabilitation therapy following the end of endoscopy, in particular, the performed frontoetmoidogaymorotomy, maxillary ethmoidotomy, ethmoidotomy.
The drug is prepared from an extract of natural plant materials. Once on the mucous membrane of the nasal passage, the drug provokes a sharp hypersecretion of the reflex nature of the mucous membrane of the nasal sinuses, in which the abundant discharge of the mucopurulent composition leaves. The reaction lasts for half an hour or an hour, depending on the individual characteristics of the patient.
At the end of the action of the drug, a reverse reaction of the normalization of the viscosity of the secretions is noted. Due to active dehydration, swelling decreases, and due to hypersecretion, the natural passages between the cavities in the nose and nasopharynx expand, thereby improving the discharge of secretions through the nasopharynx, improving their ventilation, normalizing the composition of secretions, improving microcirculation in the nasal mucosa and its paranasal sinuses.
It is not used for rhinitis of allergic origin, cystic-polypous rhinosinusitis, hypertension of the II and III degree, in the treatment of children under 12 years of age. Do not use if you are allergic to cyclamen european.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
Forbidden to use.
Method of administration and dosage
One serving (1 bottle) of the prepared solution contains 38 doses of Sinuforte. Inject once a day, 1 time into each nostril. Sometimes one spray every two days is enough. Treatment lasts from a week to two, depending on the injection regimen. One week of treatment is usually sufficient. Headaches due to frontal sinusitis and sinusitis usually disappear after 3-5 injections of the drug.
In the case of using the drug during rehabilitation measures after an endoscopy, its introduction begins on the 2nd day, due to which the swelling decreases and the paranasal sinuses are cleared, and nasal breathing is facilitated.
Overdose cases have not yet been recorded. With several injections in a row, a burning sensation in the nose and painful attacks in the nasopharynx area may occur. In this case, rinse your nose with warm water.
The use of the drug does not produce systemic irritating, intoxicating or inflammatory effects on the body.
There may be a reaction of a local reflex nature in the form of a burning sensation at the injection site and in the nasopharynx, as well as a slight reddening of the facial skin. The separated exudate may be pink in color. There is no need to stop using the drug. However, contact with the mucous membrane of the eyes can cause irritation and acute conjunctivitis. In this case, you should rinse your eyes with warm water.
