Description

Composition and form of release
The active ingredient is levomepromazine. He is also methotrimeprazine. It is marketed in the form of a solution for injection, as well as in the form of tablets.
Indications
The drug Tizercin is prescribed for the treatment of psychomotor agitation, psychoses, manic and depressive-paranoid states characteristic of schizophrenia, as well as reactive depression and neurotic reactions, accompanied by feelings of fear, fear, anxiety and associated with motor restlessness and sleep disturbances.
Tizercin is an active antipsychotic drug (sedative, in which there is no hypnotic effect), which has a variety of medicinal activities. Able to effectively provide a sedative response.
Contraindications
Forbidden in case of intolerance to levomepromazine. Also not used for diseases of the liver, hematopoietic organs, sclerosis, parkinsonism, cardiomyopathy, porphyria, urinary retention, angle-closure glaucoma, alcohol overdose, antidepressants.
Not recommended for chronic low blood pressure in elderly patients. It is also undesirable to use it for decompensation reactions of the cardiovascular system.

Method of administration and dosage
Tizercin is administered intramuscularly (rarely intravenously) and orally. The initial dose, which is usually administered during the period of maximum excitement, is administered intramuscularly (1-3 milliliters of Tizercin, where 1 milliliter = 0.025 grams), the maximum daily dose is 0.3-0.5 grams. When administered intravenously – no more than 0.1 grams per procedure.
Over time, the nervous system comes to a calmer state, while it is permissible to replace the i / m or i / v administration with a tablet form, which is taken by the patient orally (0.05-0.01 g per dose, and up to 0.4 grams per day). The dose is increased at a slow pace, bringing up to 0.3 grams per day. At the end of treatment, the dose is reduced to a dose of 0.1 g per day to maintain the state of the body.
When removing alcoholic psychosis, Tizercin is administered intravenously up to 0.075 g for up to 5-7 days.
In neurology, up to 0.2 grams are taken per day (with neuralgia, neuritis, shingles).
For home treatment of sleep disorders, take 1-2 tabs of Tizercin at night.
Overdose
In case of an overdose, the body reacts with a drop in blood pressure, hypothermia, impaired cardiac conduction, tachycardia, neuroleptic syndrome. Treat symptoms.
Side effects
When treating with Tizercin, the patient’s body can react with vascular hypotension, tachycardia, epileptic seizures, leukopenia, eosonophilia, dyskenesia, parkinsonism, extrapyramidal disorders, constipation, skin allergic reactions, and other side effects.
Storage conditions and periods
In tablet form, Tizercin can be stored for up to 5 years at a temperature “corridor” of 15 to 25 ° C.
