Composition and form of release
The main active ingredients are:
- solution – L-lysine hydrochloride, DL-carnitine hydrochloride;
- powder – cyproheptadine acephilinate (metopine) pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine hydrochloride, (vitamin B1), cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12).
It is produced in the form of a syrup, with a volume of 150 ml and in a powder weighing 3 grams. Moreover, 100 ml of the solution contains 7.5 g of DL-carnitine hydrochloride and 5 grams of L-lysine hydrochloride. 3 grams of powder contains 35 mg of cyproheptadine acephilinate (metopine) 600 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) 600 mg of thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1) and 20 mg of cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12).
The auxiliary components are: povidone, methylparaben, sodium saccharin, strawberry essence, liquid maltitol, mannitol, purified water.
This drug belongs to a group of combined drugs used to increase appetite.
The effect of use is due to the properties of its constituent substances – cyproheptadine acephilinate, lysine, DL-carnitine.
Cyproheptadine acephilinate induces appetite stimulation by affecting the hypothalamus, including in children.
Lysine is an essential amino acid that takes part in all processes of assimilation and growth of the body, promotes the growth of bone tissue cells, activates metabolism, being the main biosynthesis of proteins, being a non-hormonal anabolic.
B vitamins act as coenzymes in the metabolic processes of fats, proteins and carbohydrates, contributing to the fact that they are absorbed at the cellular level.
The balanced composition of the drug helps to improve appetite and increase body weight.
This complex is usually used to treat children. In particular, for:
- stimulating appetite;
- and also as a non-hormonal anabolic agent.
Not applicable if the patient has hypersensitivity (allergy) to one of the components that make up the drug.
Also contraindicated for:
- exacerbation of bronchial asthma;
- peptic ulcer;
- pyloric stenosis;
- retention of urine;
- use of MAO inhibitors.
Also contraindicated in depletion of the body and in old age.
In pediatrics, it is used from 2 years of age.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
Treatment of pregnant women is contraindicated.
During treatment with this drug, lactation should be canceled.
Method of administration and dosage
To prepare the solution, pour the contents of the sachet into the bottle with the solution, close it and shake until the powder is completely dissolved.
- children 2-3 years old, 2.5 ml 3 times a day;
- children 3-6 years old, 5 ml 3 times a day;
- children over 6 years old and adults take 5-10 ml 3 times a day.
The duration of treatment is determined by the attending physician, depending on the individual characteristics and needs of the patient.
Usually the duration of the course of treatment reaches 2 months.
It is recommended to take the drug half an hour to an hour before meals.
Overdose can manifest itself in the form of increased side effects, in particular, in the form of excitation of the central nervous system.
It is recommended to use forced diuresis to remove the drug from the body.
The use of symptomatic therapy is recommended.
Most often, the drug is well tolerated. In some cases, when a hypersensitivity reaction occurs, side effects are also possible, such as:
- itching, skin flushing, rash, allergic urticaria;
- nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain;
- anaphylactic shock;
- tachycardia, arterial hypotension;
- hepatitis, jaundice, constipation;
- leukopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia.

Storage conditions and periods
The shelf life of the drug is no more than 5 years from the production date indicated on the package. After opening the bottle and preparing the suspension, the drug retains its properties for 30 days.
