Correction of water-electrolyte balance disorders in acute intestinal infections and other conditions caused by iso- and hypotonic dehydration and intoxication of different genesis.
Composition and form of release
Consists of a combination of several active ingredients – sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate.
It is used as a blood purifier for intoxication and dehydration. It is recommended for the treatment of cholera, dysentery in the acute period, and foodborne diseases.
Thins the blood, reduces the state of metabolic acidosis, has the property of improving blood circulation in the capillaries, as well as the functional ability of the heart and kidneys. In general, it is able to effectively remove poisonous, harmful substances from the body.
It is not prescribed for an allergic reaction of hypersensitivity to individual components of the drug. This pharmaceutical should not be used if the patient is diagnosed with edema of the brain, lungs, alkalosis, hyperkalemia, hypernatremia, hyperhydration, and impaired renal excretory function.
In pediatrics, it is prescribed only in cases of extreme necessity, with resuscitation measures.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
There is no data on its complete safety for women during the period of bearing a child.
Method of administration and dosage
The route of administration is intravenous, drip or jet. In severe conditions, the introduction of a jet begins (with infectious toxic shock, severe blood loss, decompensated metabolic acidosis, anuria). Continue – drip. The milder forms of the disease are treated starting immediately with infusion (drip) administration.
The exact individual dosage and duration of therapy is prescribed by the attending physician, based on the patient’s condition.
For the purpose of urgent rehydration, in particular, when removing a patient from a state of shock with hypovolemia, Trisol is injected in a stream within 1-3 hours, while in the first 60 minutes an amount of solution is injected corresponding to 7-10% of his body weight. Subsequently (the next 24-48 hours), they switch to drip (injection rate from 40 to 120 drops per minute).
The total volume of the drug administered should be equal to the amount of fluid lost by the patient during vomiting, sweating, urination and diarrhea.
Treatment is accompanied by laboratory monitoring of the state of the blood. If the patient has hyperkalemia, this drug is replaced with a Disol solution until the potassium balance in the patient’s blood returns to normal.
In case of an overdose, the manifestations of side effects may increase – the appearance of edema, tachycardia, hyperkalemia, hypernatremia, overhydration, chills, alkalosis (violation of the acid-base balance in the body).
If the dosage is not exceeded, then side effects usually do not occur. However, exceeding the dosage can cause the appearance of edema, tachycardia, hyperkalemia, hypernatremia, hyperhydration, chills, alkalosis (violation of the acid-base balance in the body).
Storage conditions and periods
Stored at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C for up to 2 years.
