It is recommended as a dietary supplement to the diet as an additional source of flavonoids (anthocyanidins, proanthocyanidins), macro- and trace elements (potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron), organic acids (citric, quinic, benzoic, ursolic), which contribute to the functional state systems and counteract adhesion (adhesion) of pathogenic microorganisms to the mucous membranes of the bladder walls and urinary tract; to prevent bacterial cystitis, bacterial urethrovesical syndrome, bacterial nonspecific urethritis, urinary tract infections during surgery, and transurethral diagnostic studies.
1 hard capsule contains: – main ingredients: dry concentrate of large-fruited cranberry juice (Vaccinium macrocarpon) – 200 mg; dry extract of large-fruited cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon), standardized for the content of proanthocyanidins (PAC) 40% – 3 mg;
excipients: fillers – microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, talc; capsule: gelatin; dyes – red cabbage extract, titanium dioxide.
Large-fruited cranberries have many beneficial properties. The cranberry fruits contain vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, C, PP, K and folic acid) and trace elements (compounds of aluminum, iron, boron, iodine, potassium, manganese, sodium, silver, zinc, magnesium and phosphorus). Flavonoids – anthocyanins, leukoanthocyanins, catechins – can be distinguished separately in the composition of cranberries. Cranberries also contain fructose, sucrose, glucose, sorbitol, organic acids (citric, benzoic, quinic, malic), carotene, essential oils, tannins, phenol carboxylic acids.
Cranberries are used for inflammatory processes and colds. With the introduction of cranberries into the diet, the activity of antibiotics increases. This is due to the citric acid content of cranberries, which contributes to their rapid absorption. The antibacterial properties of cranberries are important in preventing infections of the bladder, kidney and urinary tract. The bacteria are not able to stay on the walls of the bladder, and also to transform from a rod into a ball shape – as a result, the viability of bacteria decreases.
