active substance: fosfomycin;

1 sachet contains fosfomycin trometamol 5,631 g, which is equivalent to 3 g of fosfomycin;

Excipients: orange flavor, mandarin flavor, saccharin, sucrose.

Dosage form

Granules for oral solution.

Main physical and chemical properties: granular powder of white or almost white color with a characteristic odor of mandarin flavor.

Pharmacological properties

This pharmaceutical product belongs to the drug group of antibacterial agents with a wide range of applications, most often in the treatment of urological diseases.
Due to the presence of fosfomycin as the main active ingredient, this drug exhibits antibacterial activity against infections that cause diseases in the field of urology.
In particular, it is effective in combating such strains that cause diseases affecting the urinary tract, such as citrobacteria, klebsiella, proteus, serratia, auroginos, enterococcus, pennicilinase-forming strains.
It is effective even in cases where other antibiotics have shown their ineffectiveness in the fight against these pathogens, and resistance (resistance) has been identified against them.
Has the ability to break the bonds of bacteria with the epithelium of the urinary tract, which helps to accelerate recovery (antiadhesive effect).


This drug is used to treat diseases that are sensitive to fosfomycin.
In particular, it is prescribed for the treatment of urinary and urinary tract infections (uncomplicated).
It is used both for the treatment of men and for the treatment of women.
It is also used as a prophylactic agent when carrying out diagnostic measures, as well as during surgical and surgical interventions.


The drug in question is contraindicated for use in cases where the patient has severe hypersensitivity (allergy) to the main or to one of the auxiliary components.
Also contraindicated for:

  •  diabetes mellitus;
  •  lactose / galactose intolerance;
  •  renal failure, severe;
  •  undergoing hemodialysis.

The use with drugs that increase intestinal motility, causes a decrease in the absorption of this drug, which reduces its effectiveness.
Can be used from 12 years of age.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

This drug can be used in the treatment of pregnant women only with careful weighing of the benefit / harm ratio.
During the observations, no teratogenic or fetotoxic effect was observed.
If it is necessary to take the drug during breastfeeding, then lactation should be suspended for the duration of treatment.

Method of administration and dosage

Take the drug once a day, before going to bed. It is preferable to empty the bladder – this will increase the effectiveness of the drug.
For consumption, dissolve the contents of 1 packet in half a glass of not hot water (another liquid), stir completely, and then drink immediately after preparation.
The recommended dosage is 3 grams per day. The dosage can be adjusted at the discretion of the attending physician.
If the drug is taken for prophylaxis before surgery or diagnostic measures, 3 grams of the drug should be taken 3 hours before the procedure and the second one – 24 hours after its completion.
Elderly patients, as well as patients with hepatic insufficiency, do not need dosage adjustment.


Overdose can cause side effects such as:

  •  disruption of the vestibular apparatus;
  •  hearing impairment;
  •  metal taste in the mouth;
  •  decrease / change in taste perception.

Symptomatic therapy is recommended. It is also important to increase dramatically the amount of fluid consumed in order to increase urine output and remove excess drug in the urine.

Side effects

Possible side effects:

  •  vulvovaginitis;
  •  allergic reactions – rash, itching, urticaria, Quincke’s edema (angioedema), anaphylactic shock;
  •  headache, paresthesia;
  •  tachycardia, arterial hypotension;
  •  diarrhea, nausea, other types of indigestion;
  •  feeling tired.
