Zentel is available as 400 mg tablets.
It is an anthelmintic (anthelmintic) and antiprotozoal agent. Acts on tissue and intestinal forms of parasites. Zentel is active against larvae, eggs, adult helminths. Its action is due to the ability to inhibit the polymerization of tubulin, causing metabolic disorders and subsequent death of helminths.
Zentel active against: Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, Enterobius vermicularis, Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus, Strongyloides stercoralis, Cutaneus Larva Migrans, Hymenolepsis nana, Taenia solium, Taenia saginata, Opisthorchisisisarini granulosus, Echinococcosus multilocularis, Taenia solium, Capillaria philippinensis, Gnathostoma spinigerum, Echinococcus multilocularis.
It is applied at the following states:
- echinococcosis of the lungs, peritoneum, liver;
- cutaneous migrating larvae;
Zentel is not used:
- if you are allergic to albendazole;
- in case of intolerance of auxiliary components;

Method of application and dose
Zentel suspension is administered orally, during meals, with water.
In such invasions as trichinosis, ascariasis, nekatorosis, hookworm, enterobiosis, 400 mg (one tablet) is used once. It is recommended to repeat the drug after three weeks.
At defeat by skin migrating larvae – 400 mg once / day within three days.
In strongyloidiasis, teniosis is indicated to take 400 mg once / day for three days. The course of therapy should be repeated after three weeks.
In opisthorchiasis, clonorchosis is indicated 400 mg twice / day for three days.
In toxocariasis, the drug is used twice / day (morning, evening) in a daily dose of 10 mg / kg for twenty days.
In giardiasis, children from three to twelve years of age are given 400 mg once / day for five days.
Signs of overdose: sleep disturbances, vomiting, visual disturbances, speech, visual hallucinations, indigestion, fatigue, tachycardia, dizziness, tremor, enlarged liver, loss of consciousness, discoloration of skin, saliva, urine, sweat, tear fluid, feces on orange or red-brown.
In case of overdose it is necessary to stop further administration of this drug, to carry out gastric lavage, to appoint symptomatic therapy.
Abdominal pain, diarrhea, stomatitis, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, flatulence, liver dysfunction, muscle pain, drowsiness / insomnia, headaches, disorientation, hallucinations, decreased visual acuity, convulsions, confusion are possible , itchy skin, joint pain, skin rash, high blood pressure, fever, hives, dermatitis, angioneurotic edema, acute renal failure, menstrual disorders, jaundice, photosensitization, changes in the blood picture (leukopenia, thrombocytopenia).
